I’m in too deep and I know it’s true
That all I want to do is be with you.
And I can’t let go even though I should
And in my heart I know you would
At the drop of a hat
Because I don’t mean nearly as much to you
And I know that
But I still want you around
Preferably on my little finger – tightly wound
But I possess neither the looks nor talent
To accomplish such a task as that
Maybe I trust too soon or love too much
Because all I ever seem to do is rush
Into things that I’m never ready for
And I never know what’s happening anymore
All I do know for sure
Is that I crave your body’
Always a wallflower to you
Never seen or heard
Just tell me what I'd need to do
Set me free like a bird
From a cage with iron bars wrought
And ornate with ivory and gold
My winged form with ease was caught
And every move thereon controlled
I see your form sleeping alone in the dark
With alabaster skin shining in the moonlight
Yet I am but a lowly sky's lark
And to be with you - I surely have no right
I hear you toss and turn in sleep
Whispers falling upon deaf ears
Your heart is clearly in too deep
Starlight dances in your tears
I long to hold you in my arms
Place a feather-light kiss upon your cheek
I long to break you of her charms
But

Wake up call came much earlier than you had cared for. Blindly smacking your hand around to find your phone, you grabbed the vibrating digital brick and cracked an eye open to swipe a hand across the screen to get it to stop. Only a couple other girls were up, slowly getting themselves ready for what would be the longest day of their lives so far.
You slid out of your bed sheet cocoon and wobbled onto your feet. Gathering your shower supplies, you shuffled to the bathroom in cheap (favorite color) flip flops and grabbed the nearest open shower. The first couple minutes of your shower were wonderfully hot, but as it progressed, you noticed th

On Sunday afternoon you watched as your parents pulled away from the camp in a cloud of dust. You sighed, grabbing the handle to your suitcase and rolling it up the narrow cement pathway to your cabin. The camp was set up so that the girl’s cabin was on the far east side, the practice field expanded through the middle with the mess hall in front of it, and the boy’s cabin was on the far west side. At no time during the night were boys and girls allowed to cross what was called the Mason-Dixon line, which was an imaginary line running through the middle of the field. The few chaperones that had volunteered to stay the week and help

After the first two weeks of daily rehearsals at the school, the week of band camp was finally upon you. The camp was to be held at one of the forest camps in the area. The camp would last a full seven days. Seven days consisting of nothing but sleeping, eating, marching, and general nonsense. Being a rookie definitely made you nervous to say the least. There were ghostly whisperings of an initiation of sorts for the class of freshmen that had joined the group. That’s what terrified you the most.
A girl from your grade came up to you in the hallway as you were filling up your water bottle before practice began. Her eyes were wi
